Stihl Recalls Gardening Tools & Lawn Equipment
WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDKA) -Several popular gardening tools and lawn equipment are being voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer.
Stihl is voluntarily recalling more than two million pieces of equipment.
The recall includes trimmers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, edgers, clearing saws, pruners and backpack blowers.
The recalled items have a tool-less fuel cap.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a flaw in those caps can cause fuel to spill out of the tools, which poses a fire and burn hazard.
The recalled equipment was sold between July of 2002 and May of 2011.
If you have one of these tools, you should stop using it immediately and return them to a Stihl dealer to be repaired.
