BEAVER COUNTY (KDKA) -- Police are searching for two "dangerous" men after a SWAT situation, the Beaver County district attorney said.
On Wednesday, there was a heavy police presence on Merchant Street as officials surrounded an apartment building in the 200 block of 14th Street looking for 26-year-old Trae Jackson and 27-year-old Thomas Jackson.
When police arrived, people in the apartment building came out and said at least one of the men was still in the building.
"We had several individuals who were in the house that came out when we hailed, and they said that the one individual, one of the Jacksons, was still in the house," Beaver Co. District Attorney David Lozier said.
Authorities used flashbangs but couldn't make contact, so they used a robot to clear the apartment.
They then sent officers in and discovered no one was inside.
"I can hear them over the megaphone telling him to come out the back door with his hands behind his back," said bystander Caroline Chalupiak. "I heard him say that about maybe 10 times."
Police questioned others and searched the building, but it's not clear if anyone else was taken into custody.
Lozier says men should be considered "dangerous."
They are wanted on drug and gun charges, police say.
