Sidney Crosby Talks Power Play, How Pens Can Make It Work Again

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Joe Starkey of Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN sat down with Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby about the team's power play, getting some time on the penalty kill and expectations for a shortened season.

Crosby said he wants a chance to come out on the penalty kill, particularly late in the kill to try and create some instant offense.

When it came to discussing the power play, Crosby said he doesn't have much interest in playing the point again unless Head Coach Dan Bylsma is set on him doing so.  Crosby admitted he and Evgeni Malkin both prefer to play the half wall, but they have a rotation system in place that can work and keep each of them happy with their role.

With the season length being cut down to either 48 or 50 games, Crosby talked about his odds of reaching the 100-point plateau, and how Malkin could be his biggest rival for the scoring title.

Things wrapped up with Crosby talking about getting obstruction out of the game in order to open things up.
