PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A former Zone Two Pittsburgh Police officer was charged Friday with receiving stolen property.
David Wareham retired at the end of July, after over 20 years with the Pittsburgh Police Bureau. Most recently, he served as Zone Two's community resource officer.
Sources told KDKA that Wareham was being investigated by the Office of Municipal Investigations after property from a 30-day hold room at Zone Two was discovered missing.
Police say that piece of property, LED motion-sensing lights, was believed to have been removed from the room between July 19-22.
Friday, Pittsburgh Police charged Wareham with receiving stolen property, which is listed as a misdemeanor.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.
