PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority has agreed to pay $7,000 to replace sports equipment damaged by faulty pipes.
Dozens of football helmets and pads used for youth football in Hazelwood were damaged when PWSA crews were working at the spray park building at Burgwin Park, flooding the facility.
The PWSA initially denied a claim to replace the equipment, but now says it will cover the cost of the new gear.
