Police Seek Suspect Who Tried To Assault Student
MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to sexually assault a local college student as she walked to her car shortly before 7 p.m. last night.
Moon Township police say the 22-year-old Robert Morris University student had just left a store along University Boulevard and was walking back to her car on Old Carnot Road when a man grabbed her from behind and held a box cutter to her neck.
According to authorities, the man attempted to assault the woman; but she was able to break free.
The woman suffered a cut to her leg and some other cuts and bruises during the incident. She was treated and released from Sewickley Valley Hospital.
The suspect is described as a white man with a dark complexion who was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and a dark baseball cap with the letter "P" on it.
