Police Looking For 3 Men In North Braddock Bar Robbery

NORTH BRADDOCK (KDKA) - Police are searching for three men who held up a local bar early Wednesday morning.

The robbery took place around 1 a.m. at Tun's Tavern along Bell Avenue in North Braddock.

The bar manager told police that three men, wearing white masks and carrying guns, entered the front door of the bar. They demanded money and ran out of the bar with the cash.

"Three males entered the establishment, two with white masks on. One brandished what they say looked like a revolver," North Braddock Police Chief Dean Bazzone said.

According to witnesses, the suspect without a mask was smiling during the robbery. Police immediately started searching the area for suspects.

"Multiple departments, K-9 units, there was a very extensive search for the individuals with negative results," Bazzone said.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

Just 15 minutes earlier, police went to Crud's Bar on Brinton Avenue. The alarm was going off, the door was open and no one was inside.

"According to the report, when they got on scene, they jiggled the door and it was loose and opened up. So, it's very possible it was left open," Bazzone said.

Police are trying to determine if anything was stolen. The alarm wasn't shut off until after 7 a.m. - six hours after it initially went off.

At this point, police aren't sure if the incidents at Tun's Tavern and Crud's Bar are related.
