Pittsburgh City Controller Michael Lamb To Audit Pittsburgh Public Schools To Ensure Enough Laptops For Students

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh City Controller Michael Lamb says he'll audit the Pittsburgh Public Schools to see if they have enough laptops and other technology to teach students remotely.

Sala Udin, a school board member, said in a letter to Lamb that he asked the administration for a count of laptops but has not received a response.

Udin also raises doubts that the district is ready for the fall school year, especially if classes are fully online.

KDKA's Andy Sheehan reported earlier this week 7,000 Chromebooks that the board authorized for purchase in May still have not arrived.
