Man in critical condition after shooting in McKeesport
MCKEESPORT (KDKA) - A man is in critical condition after he was shot in McKeesport.
Just after 11 a.m., county police were alerted to a shooting on Fremont and Versailles avenues.
Once police arrived on the scene, they found a man who had been shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Upon further investigation after the incident, it was revealed that the shooting occurred in the 1400 block of Hamilton Street.
Officers then determined that 20-year-old Davon Blue of Homestead was the person responsible for the shooting, per a county press release. Blue was taken into custody today without incident and charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, robbery, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm by a minor, false ID to law enforcement, and obstruction of justice, the press release stated.
Blue is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
