Officials Announce Recall For Powermate Generators

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- If you bought a Powermate Generator from Home Depot, you might want to take a look at the model number.

Powermate Sx 5500 Portable Generators are being recalled because of a fire hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the fuel filter could allow gasoline to leak.

If you have one, stop using it and contact the manufacturer for a free repair kit.
