Former North Allegheny Rowing Coach Guilty In Sex With Student Case

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A former North Allegheny High School female rowing coach accused of sexual assault for having a relationship with a student has been found guilty.

Megan Batykefer was found guilty of institutional sexual assault Thursday morning.

Last year, police said Batykefer admitted to having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student.

The student was an adult at the time of their relationship and lasted between April and July.

The student told police he knew it would be inappropriate for the two to date prior to his 18th birthday and waited until after to share his feeling with Batykefer.

Batykefer told police she and the student had sex about a dozen times at her Coraopolis home.
