National Day Of Listening
Here's a request to start a new Thanksgiving tradition. Turn on a recording device and invite relatives to share stories from their lives. "Story-Corps," a national oral history project, has designated the day after Thanksgiving as a "National Day of Listening." An instruction guide to setting up and recording an oral history interview is available online.
