McConnell, Two Others Leaving Duquesne Basketball
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Sophomore point guard T.J. McConnell and two others will transfer from the Duquesne men's basketball program, according to a report by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
McConnell has played two years at Duquesne. He was named the Atlantic 10 Freshman of the Year in 2010-11 and was a third-team all-conference selection this season. He averaged 11.4 points a game and was third in the A-10 in assists, averaging 5.5 a game.
The Post-Gazette reports McConnell hasn't made a decision on where to transfer, but it will not be to Pitt or Robert Morris.
Sophomore Mike Talley and freshman Danny Herrara plan to transfer as well.
