Local Soldier Killed In Afghanistan
JAMESTOWN (KDKA) -- Residents of Jamestown in Mercer County are in mourning after one of their own was killed while serving in Afghanistan.
United States Army Capt. Joshua McClimans, 30, had been working as a head nurse and Medevac in the Middle East.
According to the Department of Defense, McClimans died on Friday, April 22nd, from wounds he suffered when "insurgents attacked his unit with indirect fire."
McClimans was a 1998 graduate of Jamestown High School. His grandmother, who is also the mayor of Jamestown, will be there to meet her grandson's body upon arriving home.
