PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- If you're not ready for Valentine's Day, no fear. You don't have to spend a lot of money to treat your sweetheart.
The founders of Living Pittsburgh have put together a great list of affordable things to do, starting with two for one admission on Valentine's Day at Schenley Ice Rink in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood.
It's just $4 a couple and skate rental is just $2.50 per person.
"And what's neat about this deal is you get the whole thing," pointed out Living Pittsburgh's Heather Walsh. "Whoever is planning the date doesn't have to worry about details, they take care of it for you."
There's music, refreshments and the first 200 people get a rose and chocolates.
If sitting down is more your style, all seven local Mad Mex locations are offering what they call a "Mad Lovin'" deal where, for $35, couples can pick an appetizer to share, a soup or salad each, an entrée each and a dessert to share.
And all day long they will be offering $6 margaritas.
"As you can see, the margaritas are huge here," said Living Pittsburgh's Rachael Booth when she, Heather and KDKA anchor Kristine Sorensen stopped by one of the locations to preview the offerings.
If you don't have a special someone to spent the romantic day with, Olive Or Twist martini bar downtown is offering the "Red is Dead Party" with drink specials, a DJ and if you bring a picture of your "ex" and shred it at the door, they'll waive the $5 cover charge.
Let love get your creativity flowing at Kiln-n-Time, a pottery studio in Lawrenceville. On Valentine's Day, studio time is half off plus whatever pottery you choose to paint.
"It's BYOB, so you can bring wine and make it more of a romantic date," said Heather. "They even supply coolers to keep the wine cool, openers and glasses."
And for a bottle of wine that will really impress, stop by the Pennsylvania Wine Cellar at Station Square or the Waterfront. Wines range in price from $8.99 to $14.99 and they will personalize the label with anything you'd like to say to the one you love.
