Knoxville Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Kids Headed To Trial

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Knoxville man facing multiple sex assault charges after allegedly luring kids to his home was in court today.

As a result, Michael Seaman will remain in the Allegheny County Jail and his $200,000 bond will not be reduced. That's in part because the victims were adamantly opposed to any bail reduction - given what he's charged with.

When he was arrested earlier this month, police called the case "very serious."

Three alleged victims under the age of 16 were determined by police to have been sexually assaulted, and police say the case of a fourth victim, as young as 6, is under investigation as well.

While police investigate that and other cases, three male victims and their parents were in court today prepared to testify, if necessary, against Michael Seaman. But they didn't have to.

He waived his case to court.

The case, according to investigators, is that Seaman lured the boys to his Knoxville home with rides on his ATV, paid them cash and allowed them to use his Xbox game, and then lured them into sex acts.

The parents of the boys who were in court today were visibly shaken when they saw Seaman in the courtroom. They declined interviews, but said it's important for any child to tell an adult if they think something inappropriate has happened to them.

Police say more charges are likely.

Seaman's trial is expected to come up in about six months.
