Huggins Suspends Freshman Guard Indefinitely

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia University says a member of the men's basketball team has been suspended indefinitely.

WVU coach Bob Huggins announced the suspension of freshman guard Noah Cottrill on Friday.

Huggins offered no details except to say Cottrill was suspended for conduct "unbecoming of a Mountaineer."

Cottrill, an all-state point guard, graduated from Logan High School.

He averaged nearly 26 points per game at season at Mountain State Academy in Beckley and spent his first two years at Poca High School.

He made news as a high school freshman when he gave a verbal commitment to the Mountaineers.
