HIV-Positive Man Who Admitted He Raped Boy To Be Sentenced

CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) - An HIV-positive Pennsylvania man who admitted he raped a 6-year-old boy at his home while another man recorded it faces up to 60 years in prison.

Ira Task is due to be sentenced in Cumberland County Monday.

Police say the 62-year-old arranged the encounter over the internet with a 19-year-old North Middleton Township man, who is also charged with raping the child and live-streaming the abuse.

Task, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty in March to charges including rape of a child and related offenses.

Cumberland County prosecutors say Task wore no protection and knew he had been HIV positive since 1994.

Police identified Task based on a gold ring he was wearing in the video, as well as other physical characteristics.
