Police said they responded Thursday to shots fired in the 500 block of Larimer Avenue in the borough of Turtle Creek around 12:30 p.m.

Police said witnesses saw two black males on foot on Stewart Avenue who were approached by two other black males in a white vehicle.

One of the men on foot shot at the car and continued to fire as the car drove away.

The vehicle was found at the intersection of Braddock Avenue and Electric Avenue, police said.

The car was involved in a crash and the occupants took shelter in the RIDC building nearby.

One of the men sustained a shoulder injury in the crash, and nobody was struck by gunfire.

A man in the area told KDKA that he heard about 10 shots and saw a car speeding off down Larimer Avenue.

"When I first heard the gunfire, I didn't want to believe it," the man said. "It sounded pretty high caliber. It wasn't a small gun. It sounded really serious."

The injured man is in good condition at the hospital, police said.

Police did not say what led to the gunfire.

No suspects have been identified, and police are still investigating.
