Gov. Pence Makes Campaign Stop In Westmoreland County
YOUNGWOOD (KDKA) - Donald Trump's running mate, Gov. Mike Pence, made a campaign stop in Westmoreland County Tuesday afternoon.
Pence spoke at the Founders Hall Gymnasium on the campus of Westmoreland County Community College.
The doors opened at 1 p.m. and the event started at 3 p.m. with as many as 800 people in attendance.
Pence took on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the rally, and also addressed the importance of winning Pennsylvania.
KDKA's Jon Delano: "Can you win the White House without [Pennsylvania]?"
Pence: "I think Donald Trump wants to win everywhere. He really does have, I believe, the right agenda for this moment in the life of our nation. Seven and a half years of Barack Obama's leadership that Hillary Clinton is determined to continue has weakened America's place in the world, stifled America's economy and had our courts walking away from our most cherished constitutional liberties."
According to a new poll, the presidential race is all but tied.
The new Washington Post/ABC News tracking poll finds Trump leading Hillary Clinton 46 to 45 percent.
Here in Pennsylvania, a new Franklin & Marshall College poll shows Clinton leading Trump 49 percent to 38 percent among likely voters.
