ALLEGHENY COUNTY (KDKA)- A Glenshaw man is facing charges, accused of trying to sell drugs inside a local courtroom.
Allegheny County Sheriff's deputies arrested 35-year-old Christopher Durkin Monday for offering to sell illegal pills in a Pittsburgh Traffic Court seating area.
Deputies say Durkin was in front of a magistrate to face charges of driving under suspension. After his hearing, they say Durkin walked away and engaged an unknown person in a conversation inside the courtroom seating area.
A nearby sheriff's deputy told Durkin to leave the courtroom. Shortly afterwards, the unknown man Durkin talked to approached the deputy. He said Durkin tried to sell him Suboxone pills.
Deputies approached Durkin in the hallway and found two unit doses of Suboxone in his pocket.
Durkin was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession with the intent to deliver.
He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
