GA/GI (pronounced GAH-gee) Festival is part of Pittsburgh's monthly Unblurred event in the Penn Avenue Arts district in Garfield/Friendship/East Liberty, and celebrates the spirit that binds the eco, art and technology industries. GA/GI selects and highlights newly formed or in-progress projects to allow participants to test market their product or program. Either way, it includes all sorts of fun activities for the whole family, including a Toonseum Mini Convention with animated displays, projections, kids activities and more. There's also a full day of activites at the Union Project, you can visit Pitt's Mobile Science Lab, see a retrofit that allows a traditional engine to burn cleaner fuel, and so much more!

Wednesday evenings is Community Night at the Union Project. Enjoy an entire evening of affordable and donation based classes and activities, including hula hooping (hoops are provided), Zumba - a Latin dance-inspired fitness class, juggling, yoga, and board games (on the third Wednesday of each month)! Each class is either $5 or less, or donation based, so it's a great affordable way to get some mid-week exercise.

The newest extension of the Port Authority's T system known as the North Shore Connector had it's first public runs on Sunday, March 25 to positive review. Thanks to the Stadium Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, the Steelers, the Rivers Casino and Alco Parking Corporation, all T rides between the new North Shore Connector and Downtown are free! If you work Downtown - take note. Zero to 2 hours is only $3, while up to 24 hours is only $6 in the West General Robinson Street Garage, which is attached to the North Side T Station. A monthly lease is only $125. Compared with Downtown parking rates, it's a steal! Park on the North Shore, and take the T Downtown for free! Note: this excludes event rates.
