Two-Alarm Fire Causes Propane Tank To Explode In Wall Borough

WALL BOROUGH (KDKA) - At least one person was hurt in an early-morning house fire in Wall Borough.

The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. at a home on Dawson Street on Wednesday. The fire was contained to one home, though a house next door did sustain some heat damage.

A firefighter on the scene said he was driving to the station when he saw the flames. He said he believed police officers pulled a man from inside the home to safety.

First responders said they heard hissing and realized a propane tank in the home was going to explode.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
