FBI Seeking Serial Bank Robber
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The FBI is hoping images captured on surveillance tapes will help them nab a suspected serial bank robber.
Federal officials released pictures of a suspect wanted in connection with two bank robberies in the past few weeks; and they say the man is also wanted for questioning in other robberies in downtown Pittsburgh.
The suspect is wanted in the attempted robbery of the First Commonwealth Bank in Oakdale on August 31, and the September 2nd robbery of the Elm Grove Credit Union in Wheeling, W. Va.
In each robbery, the man handed a note to a teller demanding cash.
The FBI thinks that same suspect may also be responsible for bank robberies in downtown Pittsburgh last May.
In addition to the surveillance photos of the suspect, authorities also released descriptions of two vehicles they think the man may have used to get away.
One of the vehicles is described as a white, long bed truck with an unknown logo on the doors; the other is believed to be an older-model, small four door sedan -- possibly a Hyundai -- that is either dark blue/green or grey.
Now the FBI is asking for help finding the suspect.
