Experts Breakdown Corporate Security

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - With workplace violence, terrorism and shootings a growing concern, corporate security has become more prevalent.

NewsRadio 1020 KDKA's Rob Pratte was talked to Sam Rosenberg of Impex, John Hudson of J.P. Hudson & Associates, Bob Meinert and Lou Gentile of CSI Investigations about corporate security practices.

These experts discussed corporate security, the practice of corporations hiring outside firms to educate, investigate and to keep companies safe.

Hudson explained that security firms "start with the client first" to address their needs and that it takes "a lot of listening" to understand the clients' concerns.

Many of the corporations who hire corporate security consultants have the same concerns, Gentile says that it's his job to "represent that company" and he has "to take assignments seriously."  School violence and workplace violence make corporate security an important service, Rosenberg stated that "terrorists only have to win once, the good guy has to win all the time."

Safety is a major concern for businesses, corporate security firms prepare companies for the worst as well as teach personal security.  In today's society, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Listen to Rob Pratte Saturdays from 5 a.m.- 1 p.m. on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.
