HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A man is being cited for allegedly showing other drivers nude selfies of himself while he was driving through Westmoreland County on Sunday.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday on SR-30 near the Greengate Center Circle in Hempfield Township.
"We had an individual who was driving down the road and apparently he was displaying his phone so other people could see a naked man on that phone," Trooper Stephen Limani said.
State police say 50-year-old Vincent Barbieri, of Glenshaw, was stopped at a red light when he got out his cell phone, pulled up naked pictures of himself and "displayed his cell phone in full view of other drivers."
A 27-year-old woman was in another vehicle next to Barbieri at the stop light.
"This individual, this male that was driving down Route 30, was taking his phone and was canting it in the direction of the female that was driving alongside of him, and then when they would come to a stop light, he would turn it all the way so she could see the picture," Limani said.
Barbieri allegedly continued to display the photos in full view of the female driver, at multiple traffic lights along SR-30.
"She had information about the vehicle he was driving and she was able to pick him out of a line-up," Limani said. "When it came to photos, that's how specific and easy it was for her to see this individual as he was holding the phone."
According to state police, Barbieri admitted he had been looking at fully naked selfies when he was confronted about the incident.
"There was acknowledgment of looking at pictures, just not displaying them for other people to see," Limani said.
Barbieri is being cited with disorderly conduct.
