On Tuesday, The CW revealed the first full-suit costume images of The CW's new pilot The Flash, the DC Comics character. The red and gold uniform, designed by Academy Award-winner Colleen Atwood, is slightly reminiscent of that of Ironman.
Produced by the same dynamic trio as the CW hit show Arrow, will star Grant Gustin as the speedy superhuman. The show is also getting some help from the creatives at DC Comics as well, so expect a strict following of the Flash's DC back story. The Flash first appeared in comics in 1956 and went on to become a founding member of the Justice League of America. He was a scientist who became the fastest man alive after a freak accident. His real name is Barry Allen.
The CW seems to have found a superhero niche after the gigantic success of Smallville, the story of how Superman grew into the 'man part. That show ran for 10 seasons and was a driving force behind the network's willingness to try pilots like Arrow and now Flash.
