Celebrating Earth Day in Pittsburgh 2016

Join the Pittsburgh's CW Green Team as we celebrate Earth Day in the city of Pittsburgh!

On Thursday, April 21st, Pittsburgh Earth Day will kick off at the Ecolution Fashion Show at the Fairmont Hotel. VIP Guests will enjoy an hour of music by Stereo Hideout's Steve Hackman, complimentary cocktail and hors d'curves. The Main event will feature a runway fashion show highlighting recycled and reused materials designed exclusively for Pittsburgh Earth Day by local designers with music by DJ Soy Sos and a special performance by STAYCEE PEARL dance project. On Friday, April 22nd head down to Market Square to check out a mix of local vendors specializing in Earth-friendly products and services, along with organic and educational vendors and live music.  Also, there will be live performances and events going on until 5pm.

From 11AM-2PM, check out the Pittsburgh Earth Day Solar Powered Food Truck Festival on 10th Street along the West wing of the Convention Center, and Lunchtime Concerts in Mellon Square Park featuring local musicians. Electricity for food trucks will run on solar power – a renewable and sustainable source! Participating food trucks include Oh My Grill, Nakama, BRGR, Franktuary, Wok of Life, Randita's, Burgh Bites, Second Breakfast, Pizzaiolo Primo and Cool Beans.  The Lunchtime Concerts will feature:

Molly Alphabet at 11:00 AM
The Armadillos at 12:00 PM
The Beagle Brothers at 1:00 PM

Head to the Convention Center from 5PM-9PM for a happy hour event hosting an evening of music, a curated art exhibit featuring local artists, organic and handmade vendors and activities for all ages. Enjoy the sounds and grooves from the DJ Detour crew during the event!
