Bellperson, Guest Services Department
Responsible for efficiently handling guest luggage while serving as an informational source to the guests. Duties include escorting guests to and from their room, communicating available guest services, checking guest packages, controlling traffic flow in the Lobby, providing information about the hotel and city. Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lbs. continually throughout shift. Must have excellent guest service and communication skills.
Concierge, Guest Services Department
This person would be responsible for actively offering assistance to every guest. Be fully acquainted with the different points of interest. Assist in arranging for restaurant reservations and limousines and any other requests as required by our guests. Accept other special duties as required by management. Interact with all other departments to ensure that guests' needs are satisfied. Provide service calls to VIPs and various other guests. Proactively work to seek out ways in which to improve the hotel experience for our guests. Would work with boxes and packages, so an essential job function is being able to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous experience as a Concierge within the hotel industry is preferred. Must be flexible and able to work AM, PM, weekends and holidays, full time position. (1)
On Call DRA / Buffet Attendant, Outlets Department
This person will be responsible for station set-up and break down, and will set up the buffet and replenish food items as needed. Stock needed supplies in side stands areas. Ensure the Clean-up of coffee machines and prepared coffee. Set up large trays in Kitchen to run food orders Stock soup spoons and soup under liners at kitchen line. Set-up tea station. Maintain ice supply. Clean and dust all tables to include table legs. Place milk in refrigerator and set-up creamers. Pre-set breadbaskets lined with napkins. Pick-up linen and stock in side stands. Set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver and glassware. Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications. Assist servers during meal period. Remove any extra settings. Assist servers with food delivery to guest tables interacting with guests when doing so and any other duties as described by manager. (1)

This person would be the "one stop shop" for all our guests' and customers' telephone needs and to take ownership of ensuring that all of our guests' requests are fully satisfied in a timely manner. To properly take all guests' Room Service orders, communicate them to the servers and work to expedite their service. To properly perform all control and revenue related paperwork. Night Audit Supervisor, Front Office Department
This person would be responsible for reconciling the business of the day and ensuring a smooth efficient operation of the front desk during the overnight shift. Performs the required system prints during the night audit shift to ensure a current back-up of the hotel arrivals, vacant & in-house list is available. Posts and audits banquet checks in order of the banquet summary sheet. This person also reconciles all Food and Beverage outlet postings. Distributes all close day reports and morning reports to the appropriate departments. Previous front desk experience preferred. Supervisor experience preferred. Candidate should be flexible with schedule and must be able to work weekends and holidays. (1)

Under limited supervision, this position assists in the implementation of the Park Ranger program throughout the Allegheny County Parks system. The Senior Park Ranger will assist in training newly hired Park Rangers, and will provide mentoring and support to Park Rangers as they perform their daily assigned responsibilities. Senior/Park Rangers provide information and other customer services to visitors of County parks and promote recreation and safe utilization of the parks, in accordance with applicable provisions of the Allegheny County Code of Ordinances.
Duties:
• Assist in the establishment of the Park Ranger program throughout the County Parks system.
• Assist in conducting initial and ongoing training of Park Rangers.
• Support Park Rangers in their daily activities to ensure maximum effectiveness; resolve complex situations or issues that arise in the course of assigned operations.
• Provide information and answer questions from visitors about park resources, facilities, environmental features and history of County parks; provide maps and directions.
• Explain park rules and regulations to the public.
• Monitor parks and natural areas through resource management practices to ensure that natural and man-made hazards are identified and corrected; perform regular checks of grounds, buildings, and park facilities for vandalism, damage, safety hazards and cleanliness, open and close the parks, and report problems and areas of concern to appropriate parties.
• Respond and/or assist in coordination of responses to emergency situations including first aid, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents/breakdowns, etc.
• Report complaints and/or incidents involving the public to appropriate public safety personnel.
• Develop and present a variety of informational presentations for schools, civic groups and others as requested, as well as interpretive, theme-based formal and informal programs including orientation talks, guided hikes, conducted activities, cultural demonstrations, and education and outreach programs; learn about park resources by reviewing published maps, research materials and other documents.
• Assist in the preparation of informational materials about County parks.

Job Title: 9-1-1 Telecommunications Officer, part-time
Department: Department of Emergency Services, 9-1-1 Administration
Salary: $13.50 per hour ($10.00 per hour during training)

Testing/
Administration Fee: Each completed application must be accompanied by a $30.00 non-refundable fee. The fee may be waived upon the applicant's submission of proof of eligibility for public assistance (cash assistance). Payment must be by certified check or money order to County of Allegheny. Examination Dates: Tests will be administered the week of February 9-13, 2015. Only applicants who submit the completed application and required fee will be scheduled for the examination.
PLEASE NOTE: Initial training will run for nine weeks, Monday through Friday, 7AM – 3PM; followed by on the job training for eight weeks, various shifts.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or its equivalent. Conviction of a felony is automatically disqualifying unless the applicant has been pardoned.
Applicants must pass a job skills examination to be eligible for employment. The examination includes a keyboarding skills test to assess abilities in areas including decision making, prioritizing, spelling, memory recall, etc. Applicants must achieve a minimum overall score of 74 and must have a minimum keyboarding score of 2961 KPH.
Applicants also must be able to pass a background investigation and medical/drug test prior to appointment.
Applicants who meet the above requirements and who have previous experience as a 911 Telecommunications Officer are preferred.
Duties:
•Receives requests for service from the public and dispatching police, fire and medical units as necessary.
•Operates public safety communications radio equipment; constantly monitoring the status and availability of public safety units.
•Operates computers of various types: CAD (computer-aided dispatch) systems, CLEAN/NCIC, GIS, PEMA, Motorola radio systems, and others as needed.
•Receives emergency 9-1-1 calls for police and fire service; interrogates callers, determines appropriate responses, provides entry into a CAD system and send calls to dispatch positions.
•Receives 9-1-1 emergency medical calls; interrogates callers, determines medicals response levels, and provides pre-arrival Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) instructions as required.
•Dispatches Allegheny County emergency units including Allegheny County Police, Sheriff's Office, and Emergency Services field units.
•Dispatches municipal police agency field units.
•Dispatches fire departments and stations, both paid and volunteer.
•Dispatches emergency medical units including first responders, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Units.
