Body Pulled From Mon River In Charleroi
CHARLEROI (KDKA) -- The Washington County Coroner's Office and Charleroi Police have positively identify the body of a man pulled Monday night from the Monongahela River in Charleroi.
The body was found around 7 p.m. near the Charleroi Community Park at Chambers Plaza.
The body apparently had been in the water for some time.
Police taped off the area looking for possible clues to the man's identity.
"There was an off-duty Uniontown K-9 officer walking his dog and he reported what he thought to be human remains in the river," said Washington County Coroner Tim Warco.
According to the coroner's office, the man is identified as 63-year-old King Coulter.
Warco says while an autopsy will have to be done to determine the man's cause of death.
