Batmobile Tailers Tell Their Tale
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- Holy Bat fever, Batman!
As the Batman movie begins filming in Pittsburgh, it's turning everyone in town into a Bat fan.
KDKA AM's John Shumway talks to Dr. Cody Cladis-Hern and Matt Maranowski, who tailed the Batmobile as it made its way through town on a flatbed truck and got plenty of pictures and video along the way.
Watch the YouTube video of the Batmobile's trip:
The vehicle was being stored in the Strip District at 31st Street Studios.
"We were only sitting there for 15 minutes and it just happened to roll out," Maranowski said. "It was just crazy."
So, why did they do it?
"If it's in your blood, it's in your blood," Dr. Claudis-Hern said. "Pittsburgh is actually now Gotham and so this is a great big movie, it's great news for Pittsburgh and you just have to look for the Batmobile."
