Allegheny River Bridge To Be Demolished Today

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Bridge over the Allegheny River is due to come down today by an implosion, and it can't happen soon enough for locals.
Harmar Township supervisor Barbara Noll says the project to build the new bridges over the river has kept Freeport Road below in a constant state of disruption.
Today's scheduled blast at 10:00 is going to cause more traffic disruptions.
People wanting to see the blast are being encouraged to watch it online at http://www.paturnpike.com/.
