Allegheny County Sheriff's Office Mourns Beloved K-9
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office is mourning one of their police K-9s.
According to the department, K-9 Banditt died unexpectedly on Thursday morning.
The police dog was a German Shepherd that was originally from the Czech Republic.
He replaced the county's first bomb-sniffing dog when that dog retired in 2012.
Banditt had been working for the county since he was just 13-months-old.
