6 Killed In McKeesport Fire To Be Laid To Rest

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) - Six people who lost their lives in a McKeesport fire last month will be laid to rest Monday.

Two adults and four children died when a fire broke out at their home on Express Alley on Oct 18.

The victims have been identified as: Hope Jordan, 27; Dominic Jordan, 7; Autumn Jordan, 6; Serenity Jakub, 3; Victoria Jordan, 2; and Ronald Egenlauf Sr., 55.

The sole survivor of the blaze was Hope Jordan's husband, Keith Egenlauf, 23. He remains in the burn unit of UMPC Mercy Hospital.

Relatives said he suffered burns to over 55 percent of his body.

On Sunday, a spaghetti dinner was held to help raise money for his medical costs. He knows very little about the long road ahead.

"I think it's going to be traumatic for him to come home to find out he has no home, no dad, no wife and no children .So, we want to try to help him start his life back over. So, after proceeds, taxes, everything that we need to finish up, I'm going to hope at least $15,000 will go to him," Amanda Grimes said.

The victims' funeral will start at 11:30 a.m. at the Hunter Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home in McKeesport. The burials will take place at the Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Township.
