4-1-Zoo: Big East Tourney Guide, Day 3
PITTSBURGH -- It's been quite a while since Pitt and UConn have played.
Technically it was last year, as the Panthers defeated the Huskies Dec. 27 at Petersen Events Center, 78-63.
The two teams meet again at noon with a semi-final appearance in the Big East Tournament on the line. Here's some of the chatter around the web as we head in to today's game:
- Pitt will win if its big men play strong and it can contain UConn's Jeremy Lamb.
- How does Ashton Gibbs shoot the way he does?
- Pitt might as well earn another banner and re-establish its 'Big East Bully' status at the Garden.
- PittScriptBlog.com will be at MSG all weekend live tweeting the event.
And here's the schedule breakdown for today's action!
Quarterfinals: Thursday, March 10
Pitt vs. UConn -- noon, ESPN
Syracuse vs. St. John's 2 p.m. -- ESPN
Notre Dame vs. Cincinnati 7 p.m. -- ESPN
