On Election Day 2016, voters in four states — California, Massachusetts, Nevada and Maine — moved to legalize recreational marijuana, while voters in Florida, North Dakota and Arkansas approved medical marijuana measures.
Clearly, public support for pot is growing. In the past decade, the number of American adults who support marijuana legalization has nearly doubled, to 57 percent, a Pew Research Center study says.
Still, many celebrities also are advocating for the decriminalization of marijuana nationwide.
“Weed’s been helping me out for a lot of years, so when you see somebody who is functioning – I’m the perfect example of that,” hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa recently told GQ.
