Who will be in the news in 2007? Well, it could very well look like 1977 with these faces on your TV screen. Actor Erik Estrada, who starred in "CHiPS" on TV from 1977 to 1981, and singer Latoya Jackson are among the stars of the new CBS reality show, "Armed & Famous." They are seen here undergoing police training in Muncie, Ind.
Queen Latifah
Comedian and actress Queen Latifah will be hosting one of the first shows of a busy awards season when she takes the mic at the People's Choice Award ceremony on Jan 9. Latifah, who is appearing in the movie "Stranger Than Fiction" has two films due out in 2007: "Hairspray," with John Travolta, and "This Christmas."
Courteney Cox and David Arquette
You'll probably also be seeing a lot of this husband-and-wife team on TV, but not together. David Arquette plays one of the high school buddies on ABC's "In Case of Emergency." Former "Friends" star Courteney Cox plays executive producer Lucy Spiller on "Dirt," which debuts on FX in January.
Donald Trump
He's ba-a-a-ck. After taking a season off, the Donald is returning to NBC with "The Apprentice," only this time it will be set in Los Angeles rather than in New York. And who knows? Trump's feud with Rosie O'Donnell could still generate heat in 2007.
Prince
Prince, a six-time Grammy winner, is providing the halftime entertainment at the Super Bowl XLI, to be held at Dolphin Stadium on Feb. 4. Though he has been known to bare his butt on TV, it is unlikely that will happen this time. The game airs on CBS, which was burned by the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction" during the big game in 2004.
Mary J. Blige
Veteran R&B singer Mary J. Blige is going into the Feb. 11 Grammy ceremony as a front-runner with eight nominations. She won nine Billboard Music awards earlier this month, and her critically acclaimed album "The Breakthrough" was one of the best-selling albums of the year.
Ellen Degeneres
The Oscar hopefuls are still a question mark; nominations won't be revealed until Jan. 23. But it's a sure bet that Ellen Degeneres will be there. That's because she is the host. This is the first Oscar stint for the Emmy-winning talk show host and comedienne, who has hosted the Emmys and the Grammys.
Ozzy Osbourne
Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath are among the musicians who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at a March 13 ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. Other inductees are Blondie, Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Sex Pistols and Herb Alpert & Jerry Moss.
Tobey Maguire
One of the first films to launch the summer blockbuster season will "Spider-Man 3," directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson. Mike Myers' lovable green ogre will be back on the screen in "Shrek the Third" this month as well.
Tori Spelling
"Beverly Hills 90210" star Tori Spelling is expecting her first child in early spring with actor Dean McDermott whom she married on a private island in Fiji last May.
Johnny Depp
That's right, Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the third "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, set to open this summer. The second movie, released last July, broke box-office records and saved a slumping movie season.
Marcia Cross
"Desperate Housewives" star Marcia Cross willl making news this spring, but it won't be about her TV show. Cross is expecting twins in May with husband Tom Mahoney, whom she married last year. She and the other women of Wisteria Lane could also be making Emmy headlines in 2007 as well.
J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling will be back in the headlines this summer when her seventh, and supposedly final, book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," is published. She and her characters also will be in the news when the movie "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" premieres on July 13.
Eric Clapton
Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton will be on tour again this year. He has concerts scheduled in Singapore, Thailand, China, Korea, New Zealand and Australia in the early part of the year, then will embark on a North American tour.
George Clooney
Of course, this hunk will make news. If it's not for his campaign to end fighting in Darfur, it will be for "Ocean's 13," which comes out in June. The movie has an all-star cast that includes Brad Pitt and Matt Damon. Clooney also has another movie, "Michael Clayton," due out at the end of 2007.
Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewives" will actually become a housewife when she and long-time beau, San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker, tie the knot in France this summer. The two became engaged in November.
Cate Blanchette
Cate Blanchette will make headlines in October when she stars as Queen Elizabeth I in "The Golden Age," if she doesn't make it sooner for her 2006 performances that are generating a lot of Oscar buzz. The star of "Babel," "Notes on a Scandal" and "The Good German" will also play Bob Dylan in the biopic "I'm Not There," also to be released in 2007.
Brad Paisley
Country singer Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, are expecting their first child in 2007. They have been married since 2003.
Matt Damon
New dad Matt Damon is starring in his third "Bourne" movie, "The Bourne Ultimatum," which is due out in late 2007. He also stars in "Ocean's 13." The actor is already earning praise and awards for his roles in "The Good Shepherd" and "The Departed."
Nicole Kidman
Actress Nicole Kidman is starring in the fantasy thriller "Golden Compass," which will be released in time for the 2007 holiday season. The newlywed also has two other movies -- "The Invasion" and an untitled Noah Baumbach film -- coming out this year. But her fans would be most excited if she and husband Keith Urban were to have a little production of their own.
