A Boeing 787 Dreamliner lands at Sydney Airport on November 15, 2011 in Sydney, Australia, marking the 92nd birthday of Qantas Airlines.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner carbon composite aircraft, was designed to reduce jet lag and air sickness and cut fuel emissions by 20 percent.

Boeing formally unveiled its 787 Dreamliner in July 2007, promising to get passengers on the plane less than a year later. But the 787 was beset by delays and production fell more than three years behind schedule.

The first Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental takes off on its initial flight on March 20, 2011.
