The real John Malkovich is no stranger to film festivals and award shows. Here, he and French movie star Catherine Deneuve arrive with Portugese director Manoel de Oliveira, right, at the Festival Palace in Cannes, France, on May 25, 1995. The occasion? It was a screening of de Oliveira's film "The Convent" which was presented to the jury of the 48th International Film Festival.
The next year, Malkovich is back at the Festival Palace for the May 9, 1996, opening ceremony of the 49th International Cannes Film Festival.
