National Transportation Safety Board reveals cause of candy factory explosion in West Reading

Two years after an explosion at a Berks County candy company, the National Transportation Safety Board is issuing a nation-wide safety alert. It recommends natural gas alarms be installed in all commercial and residential buildings. The blast at the R.M. Palmer company in Reading killed seven people and injured 10. It was caused by a natural gas leak.
