WPHT'S Rich Zeoli Interview's Outspoken Comedian And Trump Supporter Jim Norton

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -  Comedian Jim Norton is not shy about expressing support for his preferred presidential candidate: Donald Trump.

Norton, who is currently on the road for his Mouth Full of Shame tour, stopped by the Talk Radio 1210 WPHT studio to chat with Rich Zeoli about the 2016 presidential election and said he came to support Trump by default.

"It's more out of a loathing for the rest of them. I find Ted Cruz to be really, really hateable. I also hate Marco Rubio. I don't hate Bernie. I think he's genuine. I don't even hate Hillary. I guess for some reason, I hate the religious guys more. Hillary is just, stop it, a 68-year-old woman with hair like Tanner Boyle from the 'Bad News Bears'. Sick of her."

He explained that Trump won him over by answering questions with honest answers.

"I like Trump because he is not any of them, when Chris Matthews asked Ted Cruz would you support Trump if he was the GOP nominee? Ted Cruz is weaseling his way, I'm going to be the nominee, he just wouldn't commit to an answer. When they said to Trump, he goes I rescind that offer. No I won't. That's the difference between them. That's why people like Trump. Because he's giving some kind of an honest answer."

However, Norton stated that if Trump loses the Republican nomination to Ted Cruz, he would vote for whoever wins the Democratic primary, and noted that while he disagrees with Bernie Sanders, he thinks the Vermont Senator is honest.

"I will vote for Bernie or Hillary before Ted Cruz. I loathe [Cruz]. Bernie is a 75-year-old socialist, which frightens me. I don't want a guy trying to make good with God with my money...but I think he's a genuine guy. There's something about him that I do like. I think he's a genuine man."
