Police: Man Shot Dead In West Oak Lane Shooting
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police announced that a 39-year-old man was shot to death in West Oak Lane on Thursday night.
Authorities say the incident occurred at 8:46 p.m. on the 7500 block of Mayland Street.
Officials say the man was shot one time in the head and pronounced dead on the scene. Police say he was shot so suddenly he died still holding a bag of groceries.
Authorities have identified the victim as Michael Macon.
Police say the motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
