Watch: Ben Simmons' Sixers Summer League Debut

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It was an eventful debut for the Philadelphia 76ers No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons.

Simmons dazzled with a couple of second quarter passes, including a nearly full-court length bounce pass in transition that quickly went viral.

He also hit a mid-range jumper in the second quarter, one of just two field goals on the night.

Simmons left the game about midway through the fourth-quarter with cramps in both calves. Head coach Billy Lange says Simmons will not play in Tuesday night's game. Simmons finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

"I just like playing," Simmons said after the game. "Wherever they need me on the court, I'm happy to play. Off the ball, on the ball, it doesn't matter."

The Sixers fell 102-94 to the Celtics in the first summer league game of the season. Christian Wood led the team with 20 points.
