Valanni Restaurant On Washington Square Is Now Valanni Social

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia has a new lounge.

Valanni restaurant on Washington Square West is now Valanni Social.

General Manager Ed Kaye says the new social club section of the restaurant is a place to drink and dance:

"Social's our new lounge. So we're looking to do something from Wednesday through Saturday. It's going to be a new take on bottle service. We're going to offer 375s and call it split service. We're also offering carafes. So instead of going out to do your typical bottle service you can come here, order cocktail service, it's not going to be your pretentions style club where you can't grab a table because everything's reserved."

Kaye says renovations took place late last year, turning the west side of the dining area into a lounge with white Hollywood style banquets:

"I don't think there's anything in the area as far as what we're doing right now, as far as a restaurant lounge goes so it's something new for us, something new in the area, I think it's going to do very well."
