Tall Ships 2015: The Hermione
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The flagship for the parade of sail will be flying the French tri-color. The Hermione is the newly built replica of the frigate that carried Lafayette to Yorktown and helped seal Washington's Revolutionary War victory.
John Brady, Independence Seaport Museum President explained the frigate.
"A frigate could outrun another ship of the line, but could not outrun another frigate. So it had to be able to stand it's ground fight and win."

The Tall Ships Festival will take place on the Delaware River between Philadelphia and Camden from June 25-28.
