Store Owner Stabbed In The Face During Robbery In Northeast Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say the owner of a store was stabbed in the face during a robbery in Northeast Philadelphia Monday.

The incident happened at about 11 a.m. at the "We Buy Gold" store in the 8000 block of Frankford Avenue in the city's Holmesburg section.

According to investigators, the suspect stabbed the store's owner in the face during a robbery. The owner was rushed to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital in an unknown condition.

Police say the suspect made off with approximately $1,000 in cash.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was wearing a black jacket, black tie and blue shirt. He was last seen traveling southbound on Frankford Avenue in a black GMC truck with unknown tags.
