Snow Squalls Make Their Way Through The Region
By John McDevitt
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Snow squalls are making their way through the region.
KYW's John McDevitt spoke with folks running for cover Friday afternoon.
The burst of snow stormed through the city around 4:30 p.m., blinding many pedestrians and street vendors like Issa who sells hats, gloves and scarfs at an uncovered stand along Spring Garden Street near Broad Street.
"I looked and I say what is that a little snow shower. The next time I looked I was blind. Everywhere there was snow all over the place. I rushed and try to pack up my stuff," said Issa.
Others say the heard a lot of yelling and screaming as people ran for shelter. The swirling snow lasted for about five minutes.
