Report: Eagles Interested In Jim Schwartz As Defensive Coordinator

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles are reportedly interested in bringing in former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz as their new defensive coordinator, according to SI.com's Don Banks and FoxSports.com's Peter Schrager.

Jeff McLane also mentioned Schwartz as a possible DC.

Schwartz was a defensive coordinator for eight years with the Titans and in 2014 with the Bills. In between, he was the head coach of the Lions for five seasons. Schwartz has had success over his career with a 4-3 defensive scheme, including variations of the Wide-9. The Eagles ran a 3-4 defensive scheme under Chip Kelly and Billy Davis.
