Report: Coughlin 'Withdrawing' Name From Eagles' Coaching Job

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Well, that was short lived.

Hours after it was reported that former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin would have an in-depth face-to-face meeting with the Eagles on Thursday, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Coughlin is withdrawing his name from consideration.

Furthermore, another report indicates there was some disagreement in who Coughlin's offensive coordinator would be.

So who will the Eagles hire? Schefter reports Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson is the leading candidate.

And in a land somewhere far, far away, the San Francisco 49ers are choosing between Mike Shanahan and Chip Kelly.
