Raccoon Tests Positive For Rabies In Camden County

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – A raccoon removed from Winslow Township has tested positive for rabies.

Around 8 a.m. on Nov. 16th, a Winslow Township family saw an aggressive raccoon in their yard and called animal control, who removed it.

A rabies test was conducted, and on Nov. 21st, it was confirmed that the animal had tested positive.

While there are no known human or animal exposures, the Camden County Health Department is urging residents to be aware.
